Shipping Container Specification
General Purpose Containers
General purpose containers are used in the transportation of dry, non-perishable goods such as electronics, paper, clothing, etc. High Cube Containers
These containers have similar uses when compared to general purpose containers except for having extra height making it useful for transporting unusually high cargo. Refrigerated Containers
Equipped with portable refrigeration units, reefers are used in the transportation of perishable goods such as food, flowers, etc. Open Top Containers
These containers have a top loading facility designed for the carriage of heavy and awkward cargo. Flat Rack Container
These containers consist of a flat bed with either fixed or collapsible ends. Generally used for the transportation of machinery. Fantainer Container
Platforms (Plats)
Platform Containers are designed to carry cargo in excess of the dimensions available in either General purpose, Open top or Flat Rack containers. They consist of a flat bed with lashing points for securing cargo. Tank Container
These containers consist of a suspended tank capable of transporting liquids. |
